Homemade Hot Cocoa Bar

Homemade Hot Cocoa Bar

We love hot cocoa in our family, but do not love all of the extra ingredients in the store bought brands. It is very easy, so much better tasting and better for you to make your own! One of our favorite Christmas and holiday traditions is having our neighbors over for a hot cocoa bar. You can get as creative with this as you like. Kids and adults alike will love choosing the toppings for their cocoa!

To make the hot cocoa, you will need:

10 cups of milk of choice
3 cups of chocolate chips (I use enjoy life brand)
1 tsp vanilla or extract of choice (amaretto and butterscotch are delicious as well)
1 tsp cinnamon
put all ingredients in your slow cooker and cook 2 hours on low

Toppings to have on your bar…

Mini marshmallows
cinnamon sticks
mini Candy Canes (I get dye free candy canes)
mini chips
sprinkles
whipped cream

  • If you are doing an adult party – Baileys is really good in hot cocoa – try it!
